She earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from AYJNISHD(D), Mumbai, affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS). She currently has a certification in Teletherapy (online therapy) and has taken several pieces of training in the assessment and management of Dysphagia, communication in Autism, and bedside speech therapy for Neurological speech disorders. She has a keen interest in research and has presented multiple papers at national conferences.

She has an extensive background working with early-elementary and school-aged children in multiple environments including a special school for Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Learning disabilities, and in multidisciplinary setups. She has also worked with adults in private practices where she had the opportunity to work professionally with adults, with varied speech and hearing disorders.

​She believes in the importance of collaboration with other service professionals, such as teachers and various school-based therapists, like occupational therapists, social-emotional counselors, and psychologists in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for each kid.

She specializes in pragmatic and social skills disorders, childhood language delay, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Through her work, she has developed strong relationships with her clients and their families. It is this continued bond that has led her to start her practice, Sounderic.
